Amelia Leonard

Amelia Leonard represents clients in a wide variety of civil cases concentrating the majority of her practice in product and premises liability, commercial litigation (including shareholder disputes), municipal law, and employment-related disputes (including non-compete agreements and wrongful termination claims). She has experience with complex bankruptcy litigation, the Ohio Consumer Sales and Home Solicitation Sales Acts, school disciplinary matters, and has provided legal counsel to her clients with regard to a variety of business situations.

Amelia is licensed to practice law in Ohio and Kentucky. She is a member of the Cleveland Metropolitan, Ohio Women’s, West Shore, and Kentucky Bar Associations, and was a member of the Ohio Women’s Bar Foundation Leadership Institute Class of 2016-2017. She volunteers as a judge for mock trial competitions at both the law school and middle school levels and is currently co-advisor for the Lakewood High School Mock Trial Team.

Amelia moved to the Cleveland area in 2012 after graduating in 2011 from the University of Louisville, Brandeis School of Law, part-time evening program. While in law school, she worked full-time as a law clerk and interned for a Kentucky appellate judge. Prior to going to law school, she worked in a variety of fields, including transportation (held a Class B CDL and managed a same-day-delivery service), retail, restaurants, and for the Kentucky Court of Appeals as a deputy clerk. When not working, she enjoys cooking, gardening, the outdoors, watching science fiction, and playing computer games. She currently lives in Lakewood with her husband and spoiled cats.
