Kimrey D. Elzeer

Ms. Elzeer has focused her legal career in the area of family law for the past twenty two years and is experienced in a full spectrum of family law related matters including complex property division, custody, enforcement, and drafting premarital agreements.
Kimrey is skilled at litigation and informal settlement and provides clients with several options so they can choose the path that best suits their needs and situation. She is often able to help her clients find solutions to their family law issues without the necessity of ever entering the courtroom. However, while a case may start out amicably, Kimrey is adept at recognizing when a client may need more aggressive representation if issues cannot be resolved.
Kimrey understands family law issues can be very difficult, emotional and even traumatic for clients and is committed to providing her clients with the education, structure and support needed to achieve their goals and move forward with their lives. Family law encompasses so much more than just the divorce itself and Kimrey frequently partners with other corporate and probate lawyers in the firm to help strategize the next step so clients understand their financial situation and are best protected for the next phase of their life.
Kimrey received her Juris Doctorate from Cleveland-Marshall School of Law and her Bachelor of Arts from Baldwin-Wallace University. Since 2000, Ms. Elzeer has been an Advisory Board Committee member of the Cuyahoga County Guardian ad Litem Project and has represented over two hundred abused and neglected children in juvenile court proceedings. Kimrey has sat as an administrative hearing officer and has issued child support orders across the State of Ohio. Kimrey has also been named an Ohio SuperLawyer.
