Christine C. Covey
Christine Covey is a member of the SSEG Workers’ Compensation and Commercial and General Litigation practice groups with a focus primarily on workers’ compensation representation of self-insured, state funded, group-rated, and public employers. Ms. Covey was certified as a workers’ compensation specialist and handles all phases of defense representation in administrative proceedings, trials, and mandamus actions. She has lectured on various workers’ compensation topics in seminars sponsored by the Ohio Self-Insurers’ Association, Ohio Chamber of Commerce, Greater Cleveland Hospital Association, Ohio State Bar Association, Baldwin-Wallace College, Cleveland State University Labor-Management Relations Center, National Business Institute, Ohio Petroleum Marketers Association, and Association of Legal Administrators.
Martindale-Hubbell has awarded Ms. Covey an AV rating for preeminent legal ability and the highest ethical standards. Christine is recognized as an Ohio Super Lawyer and has volunteered in various capacities over the years with the Beaumont High School Mock Trial Team, Domestic Violence Center, and Cleveland Metropolitan School District 3Rs Program.
Christine is active in the local bar association and has served on her alma mater’s Bowling Green State University School of Business Dean’s Council.
