Daniel Gourash Speaks at the ABA House of Delegates Annual Meeting in Colorado

Partner Daniel F. Gourash recently moved adoption of Resolutions 516 and 517 at the House of Delegates of the American Bar Association at its Annual Meeting held in Denver, Colorado. The House of Delegates is the policy-making body of the ABA. Resolution 516 made changes to the ABA Guidelines for the Appointment and Use of Special Masters in Federal and State Litigation replacing the terms “Master” and “Special Master” with “Court-Appointed Neutral.” Resolution 517 urged jurisdictions to adopt the Model Rule on Court-Appointed Neutrals, dated August 2023. Both Resolutions passed and are now ABA Policy. Mr. Gourash served as Chair of the Lawyers Conference of the ABA’s Judicial Division for Bar Year 2022-23 and was the Alternate Delegate to the House of Delegates of the Judicial Division at the Annual Meeting.
