On Tuesday, May 7th, the Women’s Recovery Center hosted their 3rd annual “Miracles of Recovery Breakfast” at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo.

Congratulations to Dr. Patty Stoddard Dare & Dr. Miyuki Tedor on receiving the 2019 Champion for Recovery Award at the event! Working with students, these 2 Cleveland State University professors helped coordinate and create an internet based tool to help substance abuse treatment agencies easily update wait time and treatment openings daily. This allows treatment providers and others find available services that match their needs quickly and easily. More Info on Drughelp.care

This event is put on by the Women’s Recovery Center and serves as a platform to recognize the effects that opioid addiction is having on our community. It is also used to recognize the people championing recovery in our community. The Keynote Speaker was Judge Donna Fitzsimmons. Chief Matthew Vanyo was a guest speaker. Lindsay Buckingham of WKYC was the emcee.
