Charles Zepp is a partner at Seeley, Savidge, Ebert & Gourash. He has represented clients in a wide variety of complex commercial litigation matters in state and federal courts throughout the United States, including the defense of companies in product liability and toxic tort cases as well as in various commercial matters and insurance coverage matters. Additionally, he has participated significantly in firm roles as national coordinating counsel for products liability actions and class action counsel in nationwide cases. He has successfully represented clients throughout numerous state and federal courts, at both the trial and appellate court level. His practice also involves representing clients in emergency injunctive proceedings.

Obtained summary judgment on behalf of national retailer in connection with a $2 million breach of lease claim. DDR Hendon Nassau Park II LP v. RadioShack Corp., 2010 WL 723776 (N.D. Ohio 2010).
Obtained summary judgment on behalf of national fast food restaurant chain in connection with alleged liability related to a “riot” in its parking lot. Motley v. Wendy’s Old Fashion Hamburgers, Inc., 2007 WL 3226973 (N.D. Ohio 2007).
Obtained summary judgment on behalf of insurer in class action related to claims for post-settlement interest. Bellman v. American Int’l Group, 2007-Ohio-2071 (Ohio Supr. Ct. 2007).
Settled misappropriation of trade secret claim on behalf of software development company for over $10 million in consideration.
Successfully resolved dozens of disputes with property owners on behalf of oil company related to the construction of a pipeline through northern Ohio.
Successfully defended and settled complex dispute on behalf of sewer district relating to damage to sewer district’s infrastructure.
Defending manufacturers in disputes under the Ohio Alcoholic Beverages Franchise Act.
Defending employers in non-compete disputes.

Charles received his BA, cum laude, from Xavier University in 1994, and his JD, with honors, from The Ohio State University College of Law in 1997. He is a member of the American Bar Association, Ohio State Bar Association, Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association and the West Shore Bar Association.
He has been a volunteer with the CBA for the 3Rs program and an active participant in the Cleveland Leadership Center's Bridge Builders Program and the Diversity Center of Northeast Ohio's LeadDiversity Program. Charles is married to Melissa and has three sons at St. Joseph in Avon Lake where he is an active member and serves on the school’s CYO board. Charles is also a member of the Distinguished Alumnus Committee at St. Ignatius High School.
